After visiting the Donkey Sanctuary and Philip’s Animal Garden, Sarah dropped me off right outside the bus terminal in Oranjestad. Oranjestad is the capital of Aruba. It is also where the mammoth cruise ships dock. An average cruise ship dwarfs most houses on the island.
Because most of the commercial activity in the area revolve around passengers from the cruise ships, most shops close early. Many businesses in the High Rise area, on the other hand, start their day in the afternoon. Lucky for me, The Old Fisherman was open. My Mixed Seafood with Rice had shrimps, mussels, calamari, and mahi-mahi. The creole sauce of the dish was not heavy at all.
